Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre

This marl sandstone chapel was built in 1647 by Herman Jekermans and was inspired by the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

It is the only baroque house of worship in Riemst. The control of the chapel was entrusted in 1653 to the canons of Hoogcruts. In 1656, they built a rector house opposite the chapel, completely made of marl sandstone. Today, this house functions as a hotel.
